SOLD - TRIBUTE 250 GT SWB BERLINETTA BY NUBODI AUTOMOTIVE

Registered as a Tribute 250 SWB, this stunning recreation was hand-built by Nubodi Automotive, using a 2002 BMW Z3 as its donor car.

Featured in both Complete Kit Car Magazine and TKC (Track, Kit & Custom) Magazine in July 2017, this car has been widely recognised in the specialist motoring press for its craftsmanship and attention to detail. Copies of these articles are included within the Documents section on this advert.

Purchased by its current owner in 2020, the car has since benefitted from extensive enhancement and refinement by Harding Auto Services in Woking, Surrey — at considerable expense. The work focused on improving authenticity and achieving the closest possible resemblance to the original Ferrari 250 GT SWB racing model.

At a memorable Goodwood event, Sir Stirling Moss himself paused to admire the car’s exquisite detail and remarkable resemblance to the original Ferrari 250 GT SWB. So taken was he by its craftsmanship that he personally signed the bonnet decal — a gesture that forever links this tribute to one of the most celebrated names in motor racing history.

Sir Stirling Moss is, of course, indelibly associated with the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione, chassis number 2735 GT — affectionately known as the “Stirling Moss Ferrari.” This legendary car was among the most successful GT racers of its era, with Moss securing three major victories in 1961, including the Goodwood Tourist Trophy. He famously described the 250 GT SWB as “the best GT car in the world,” and, together with Graham Hill and Innes Ireland, campaigned it with distinction for the Rob Walker Racing Team.
