About this Alfa Romeo 2600

ARRIVING SOON - JUST FULLY REBUILT TO AN EXCEPTIONAL STANDARD

Introduced at the 1962 Geneva Motor show, the Alfa Romeo 2600 (designated 106-Series) was Alfa Romeo's six-cylinder flagship model and was produced from 1962 through to 1968. Factory-built right-hand drive 2600 Spiders were only available after 1964 and prior to that, bespoke conversion to right-hand drive for UK-cars was the sole prerogative of Worthing-based Ruddspeed. 

Designed and built by the legendary Carrozzeria Touring, the Spider variant was unquestionably the best-looking. Despite a reputed top speed of 125mph and spirited acceleration to match, the four-seater soft-top was judged - in keeping with its market aspirations - more of fast tourer than an out-and-out sports car. The lovely 2,584cc twin-cam inline-six engine with 3 x twin-choke Solex 44 PHH carburetors produced some 145 bhp and 156 lbs ft of torque, and drove the rear wheels via a five-speed gearbox, and had all-round coil-sprung suspension and servo-assisted disc brakes.

Only in production for 6 years, just 2,255 Alfa Romeo 2600 Spiders are thought to have been produced, of which only a handful were built by the factory in right-hand drive specification, making these examples exceptionally rare today. 

This lovely 2600 Spider - Chassis No: AR192923 and Engine No: AR0060107074 is an original Carrozzeria Touring built RHD UK car, and it was first registered in Worcester on April 5th 1966 with its current number plate LAB 121D.

It has just been fully restored in Spain and is now on its way to us. Full details will follow upon arrival in late September 2026.
