About this Triumph TR6
This 'Concours' condition TR6 - Chassis No: CP76754-O and Engine Number: CP076831HE is a 'Matching Numbers' car and was first registered in Bath on 6th October 1972. It is finished in stunning Signal Red with a Black Vinyl interior, Black carpets, Black Vinyl Soft Top, 2498cc 150bhp fuel injected Engine, 4 Speed Manual Gearbox with Overdrive on 2nd, 3rd and 4th Gears and its original Steel Wheels.
The car was purchased in June 1992 by a Lucas engineer working for Beekay Electronics in Hammersmith and they carried out a complete Body-off Chassis rebuild using a new Heritage body-shell purchased from Moss Europe which started in early 1993 and was finally completed in September 1995. There are invoices in the file for all parts obtained from specialist Triumph suppliers for the rebuild along with a few photographs as shown and almost everything on the car was either replaced or reconditioned. The chassis was shot-blasted and powder coated before the new body-shell was fitted and it still looks like new today!
Upon completion in 1995/96 the mileage indicated on the speedometer was 79,411 miles and it is now showing 81,497 miles, so only 2,086 miles have been covered since the car was finished! The car was little used by the engineer covering no more than 400 miles during his ownership and he subsequently sold it to a neighbour and current owner in Stoke Poges in July 2011.
During the current owners 10 years of ownership, he has spent a further £3,662 on various new parts including a new Burr Walnut dashboard, new Radiator, Water Pump, Thermostat and routine servicing. We MOT'd the car in December and after adjusting the front wheel bearings and replacing the wiper blades it Passed with No Advisories + we have just had a new Bosch Fuel Pump kit fitted by TR specialist Enginuity in London.
Upon sale, the car will be given a pre-sales check-over (PDi) and it will come with our own 3 Month Mechanical Warranty which can be extended and upgraded at additional cost if required.
This TR6 is simply stunning throughout and is still in near Concours Condition and drives superbly and is certainly one of the best examples we have had for a while. Prices of TR6's are rising steadily and it will be a good investment for any collector.
