About this Rover Mini
This ultra rare Classic Mini Cooper 'S' John Cooper Works was supplied new by All Electric Garages in Birmingham and was first registered on the 28th July 1999.
Described as being one of the most powerful Mini Cooper 'S' ever produced. This car was subjected to the full John Cooper Works 90BHP conversion with all works carried out at the John Cooper Works Garage, East Preston, West Sussex in early 2002.
The second owner was a Mr Stuart Chapman from Telford in Shropshire and he won MiniWorld's 90bhp Conversion competition in 2002 and MiniWorld commissioned John Cooper Works to carry out the conversion for Mr Chapman. and there is five page photo feature in July 2002's MiniWorld magazine detailing the whole conversion - copies shown in the photographs. The power output was increased by 50% from 60 BHP to 90 BHP and it bears the appropriate registration plate T90 BHP which was put on the car in May 2002 after the conversion was completed.
Only 30,651Â genuine miles from new with a host of extras and finished in Metallic British Racing Green with an Old English White roof + colour matched wheel spats all round, Biscuit Leather trim with contoured front seats + rear pockets and headrests, Walnut dashboard and centre console with air vents, Walnut door handles, Cooper Steering wheel, Ivory faced dashboard instruments 13" Mini-lite Alloy Wheels with 7" Yokohama tyres. ( 175/50R 13) + locking nuts & Cooper badges, Sports-pack specification, 4 front spotlights, Red John Cooper bonnet and boot badges, Twin white bonnet stripes with John Cooper signature, White side coach-lines, Cooper 'S' side decal badges, John Cooper plaque stamped S167 on sill panel, Cylinder Head stamped with John Cooper Works, Rear Cooper 'S' Chromium badge, Rear John Cooper Works badge, Battery cut off switch, Immobiliser, Tracker fitted (needs reactivating), Heated rear screen, Locking petrol cap, Brake tester switch, original radio, Headlight level adjuster, Rear fog light, Reversing light, central sports roof aerial, Air horns, Interior fitted fire extinguisher, 'unused' Mini-lite spare wheel and a fully carpeted boot.
The car has been in the current ownership since 2017 with only 2,000 miles covered during the last 7 years and it has just been fully serviced and is MOT'd until 18th August 2025. It comes with a ring binder containing all its original handbooks, service book, sales brochures, MOT Certificates plus lots of invoices + a copy of the MiniWorld feature on this car in 2002.
This really is a ' very quick' little car and it is presented in excellent condition throughout and really does need to be seen and driven to fully appreciate how good it really is.
Upon sale the car will come with our own 6 Month Mechanical Warranty which can be upgraded and extended at additional cost if required.
