About this Jaguar E-Type

The new Series 3 Jaguar E-Type was introduced in 1971 and was a totally different car from its predecessors and more of a luxury cruiser designed for the USA market and with its 5.3 Litre V12 engine it still had the pace to match or even exceed its predecessors and delivered its power with smoothness and sophistication.

The 5.3 litre V12 Engine was just 39kg heavier than the 4.2 Six Cylinder Engine it replaced and was equipped with four Zenith Carburettors and produced
314bhp and was mated to either a 4 Speed Manual Gearbox or 3 Speed Automatic Transmission with uprated Brakes and Power Steering as standard.

This beautiful Series 3 V12 E-Type - Chassis No: 1S1774BW and Engine No: 7S8924SB is a 'Matching Numbers' car and was supplied new in the UK and first registered on 18th May 1973 with its current number plate KSN 335L. It is finished in Jaguar White with Beige leather trim, Beige carpets, Beige Soft Top and Hood Cover. The interior is in beautiful condition and it also has an original Stereo/8-Track Player which does work and comes with a few 8-Track Tapes!

It has its original 5343cc V12 Engine with 3 Speed Automatic Transmission, Power Assisted Steering, Disc Brakes all round and its original 15" Chrome Rostyle Wheels with new set of Bridgestone Tyres.

We actually sold this car to the current owner back in early 2011 and it has spent the last few years at his Olive farm in Portugal and has only been sent back to us to sell for him due to the not inconsiderable import duty and tax now payable in Portugal if he wants to keep it and register it there, so it is a very reluctant sale.
In 2020, he had the car repainted and re-trimmed with new leather seat covers, sill covers and a new Soft top, new Head Gasket set and cooling system overhaul including a new Radiator and Water Pump, new Ignition System, Brake overhaul including front discs skimmed and new pads, a new Battery and a new set of Bridgestone tyres fitted. All works were carried out by specialists in Portugal with parts obtained from SNG Barratt and the Jag Shop in London and there are invoices in the file for all works undertaken and parts purchased.

This lovely V12 E-Type in overall excellent condition and drives beautifully and it has only covered a genuine 61,863 miles from new and after our showroom preparation, we put it through a new MOT test and it only initially failed on not having any headlamp dip beam which we have now rectified and no other advisories. Currently MOT'd until November 2022.

It has a box file full of paperwork and receipts and an original workshop manual and we have carried out our own HPi check which is all clear and the mileage covered is correct according to the National Mileage Register and MOT history.

Upon sale, the car will come with our own customer care package including our HPI/provenance Check, 55-point pre-delivery inspection and our own 6 months mechanical breakdown Parts & Labour Warranty which can be upgraded and extended at additional cost if required.
