About this Aston Martin Vanquish
Description
SOLD - 1st NOV 2019
Unveiled at the 2001 Geneva Motor Show the Aston Martin Vanquish was very special as it was the last hand-built car to come off the famous Newport Pagnell production lines and was inspired by the Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato.
Designer Ian Callum had taken the elegant and classic lines of the past and penned a bold and chiseled look for the Vanquish. The V12 Engine's bold and authoritative bark and power and a well-balanced, confidence-inspiring chassis, hand crafted Aluminium bodywork and a beautiful and luxurious interior all go to make this a simply gorgeous package!
Its appearance in the 2002 James Bond film Die Another Day earned the V12 Vanquish the number 3 spot on the list of 'Best Film Cars Ever' behind the Mini's from The Italian Job and the AM DB5 from Goldfinger & Thunderball.
This stunning example, Chassis No: 287 was supplied new by Aston Martin dealer Reg Vardy in Houghton Le Spring, Tyne & Wear on 30th April 2002 and is finished in the beautiful and very rare AML Racing Green Metallic with Green & Cream hand crafted Connolly Leather upholstery, Alcantara Headlining and soft trimmed panels, polished Aluminium trimmings, Electric & Heated front Seats, Air Conditioning/Climate Control, Six speaker Stereo + CD Autochanger, Heated front & rear Screens, Electric & Heated Door Mirrors, Electric windows, remote Central Locking/Alarm System, 'Trackstar' Tracking system, Cruise Control, Rain-sensing Wipers, Driver & Passenger Air Bags, 5953cc 48 Valve V12 Engine, 6 Speed Manual Gearbox, Limited Slip Differential, Power Assisted Steering, Teves MK20 Anti-Lock Braking system with Traction Control, Ventilated & cross-drilled steel Brake Discs with 4 Pot Calipers and unique Aston Martin 19" Alloy Wheels with new Yokohama Tyres.
The current owner purchased the car from ourselves in June 2010 and It went to the Aston Martin factory in Newport Pagnell in December 2010 to be converted to a 6 Speed Manual Gearbox. The cost of the conversion with ancillary works came to £23,379 and the mileage at the time of these works was 53,038 miles.
It has had 3 former keepers and has now covered 58,300 miles from new with a Full & Comprehensive Aston Martin Factory & Main Dealer service history. There are 11 stamps in the Service Book and it was last serviced by Stratstone in London in October 2016 @ 57,747 miles. In February 2017 @ 58,171 miles they fitted a complete new Exhaust System and new Accelerator Pedal costing £11,328 and since then the car has hardly been used and mostly kept in storage before being given to us to sell for the owner.
We have just had both petrol pumps replaced by Aston Martin Vanquish specialist David Such of V12Vanquish.Com and he has also carried out an inspection of the car and given it a clean bill of health and it was a very good report.
This car is simply stunning throughout and is in perhaps the most desirable colour scheme and specification for an Aston Martin Vanquish making it a very collectible and appreciating asset that can also be driven and enjoyed!
It also comes with the 'Victory' V17ORY number plate included which looks very fitting on this car!
