Triumph TR4A IRS 1967 (F) Blue
According to the BMIHT Heritage Certificate, this Triumph TR4A IRS - Chassis No: CTC/77622-O is an original UK matching numbers car that was built on 1st May 1967 and finished in its original colour scheme of Royal Blue with Blue Ambla trim, Blue carpets, Blue Mohair Soft Top, 2138cc Engine, 4 Speed Manual Gearbox with Overdrive and Chrome Wire Wheels.
The car was supplied new by Triumph dealer Portsmouth Garages in Portsmouth and was first registered on 14th August 1967.
The car has only had 7 recorded keepers from new, but only 4 owners since 1981 and was off the road between 1981 and 1987.
It was bought by a Colonel J E J Lane in May 2001 and he commenced a restoration of the car spending over £10,250 up until the time he sold the car in 2011 and most works were carried out by classic car specialist 'Rees Bros' in Aldershot.
The current owners purchased the car in May 2011 and they have also spent a further £13,000 including a full Engine rebuild by Triumph TR specialist 'Enginuity' in Chiswick in December 2011 @ 90,336 miles. The car has now covered 4,500 miles since this rebuild and a believed genuine 94,950 miles from new with no discrepancy shown by the National Mileage Register and it is HPi clear on all registers.
There is an extensive history file containing all of the invoices for the £23,000 spent on the car since 2001 plus MOT certificates and a brief history of the car compiled by previous owners.
The car is in lovely condition overall and mechanically excellent. It is an older restoration, but it is a very nice example that is lovely to drive and it should appreciate in value over the coming years!
Upon sale the car will come with a new MOT, pre sales service and our own 6 month mechanical warranty that can be extended at additional cost.
Car on display @ our showrooms in Mortlake, SW London.
