First registered on 13th March 1963, this matching numbers home market car was last owned by an enthusiast engineer of the marque & prior to him a Lieutenant serving from HMS Sultan and having undergone a photographic restoration in October 2007 is in exceptional condition as one would expect.
Damson red with black leather interior piped white & Moto-Lita wood rimmed steering wheel, with working overdrive & Triumph 2138cc engine with a full stainless steel exhaust system & a brand new mohair black soft top with zip out rear window (Just fitted by our specialist trimmer).
Professional and comprehensive full body restoration carried out by Devon Classic Cars on 31st October 2007 with works in brief comprising of: Bare metal respray - new front windscreen frame ? new body panels ? removal of all rust and new metal let in - new cills ? line up of all panels ? fully waxoiled - new painted wires fitted with 2 new matching tyres to the front & 2 nearly new matching tyres to the rear with a brand new tyre on the spare wire wheel ? full detailing of the engine bay??..The works are shown in a photo album detailing the photographic restoration with all photos dated.
A massive history file accompanies the vehicle and consists of: Current V5C ? 2 former V5?s - Fresh HPI Check report (Clear) ? Current MOT ? 20 previous MOT?s dating back to 1984 ? 9 previous tax discs - 130 specialist invoices dating back to 1978 showing regular & diligent maintenance ? The engine received a full mechanical overhaul in 2008 by the engineer owner & subsequently new plugs / contacts / condenser / rotor arm / filter / dist cap / gaskets / fan belt / service kit / mountings & all bulbs. A new radiator was fitted in March of this year along with all hoses / pipes /clips & fixings. A new battery is fitted - A new clutch unit complete was installed in August 2004 & inertia seat belts were fitted in 2006.The engine bay is just splendid on the eye, with the engine holding excellent oil pressure, it does not overheat and has proved to be very reliable, starting on the button every time, the car has no issues & is a true drivers car!
Mileage showing 27,000 with 20 previous MOT?s in support, but with only nominal mileage since restoration.
A fresh MOT expiring on 28th October 2012 accompanies the vehicle.
