Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 (930) 1981 (Private plate) Red
Ten years after its launch the engineers at Porsche gave the Porsche 911 its first thorough makeover and the 930 model was introduced in 1973. It featured prominent bellows bumpers, an innovation designed to meet the latest crash test standards in the United States and occupant protection was further improved by three-point safety belts as standard equipment, as well as integrated headrests.
One of the most important milestones in the 911's history came at the Paris Motor Show in 1974 with the unveiling of the first Porsche 911 'Turbo' with a 3.0 litre 260bhp Engine and enormous rear spoiler which was dubbed 'whale tail'. With its unique blend of luxury and performance the Turbo became synonymous with the Porsche mystique.
The next performance jump came in 1977 with the introduction of the 'inter-cooler-equipped' 911 3.3 Turbo which boosted the power output to 300bhp.
Porsche also upgraded the brakes to units similar to those used on the 917 race car.
Arriving on 11th February
We are delighted to offer this matching numbers relatively early example of the 3.3 litre Porsche 930 Turbo. This particular car is a 1981 model finished in its original colour of Guards Red with a Black Leather interior and the special order and and incredibly comfortable Dr Fuhrmann orthopaedic seats.
The car has covered a genuine 66,000 miles from new and apparantly has one the most comprehensive service history files you will ever see!
It was also once owned by one of the twins either Luke or Matt Goss from Bros as they had matching cars! Will advise which one later.
