Nissan Figaro 1991 (H) Grey
The Nissan Figaro was manufactured by Nissan in 1991 and was marketed solely in Japan. It was launched at the 1989 Tokyo Motor Show under the slogan "Back to the Future" and its name came from the main character in the play 'The Marriage of Figaro' by Pierre Beaumarchais.
Its 'Retro' design was the creation of Nissan designers Naoki Sakai and Shoji Takahash and it was based on the Nissan Micra.
It was only produced in 4 colours representing the Four Seasons:
Lapis Grey (Winter), Emerald Green (Spring), Pale Aqua (Summer) and Topaz Mist (Autumn).
It was equipped with the Micra 1.0 Litre Turbo charged Engine, Automatic Transmission, Power Assisted Steering, Leather Seats, Air Conditioning, a specially designed Clarion Stereo Radio/Tape/CD player, Central door locking, lots of nice chrome trim, a Retro dashboard with chrome Sea Shell switches and a full size fold-away Sun-Roof.
Only 8,000 were originally available with an additional 12,000 added to production numbers to meet demand. Total production of the Figaro finished at 20,073 units and prospective purchasers had to enter a lottery to purchase one!
New arrival - This example was first registered in Japan on 1st June 1991 and was imported into the UK in 2006. It is finished in the Winter colour of Lapis Grey with off White Leather trim and it has now covered 84,000 miles (135,806 Kms) from new.
It is in very good condition throughout and drives beautifully and it will be given a new MOT and pre sales service before sale and come with our own 6 Month Mechanical Warranty which can be extended and upgraded if required.
