    Description

1972 MG Midget 1275cc 'Round Wheel Arch' model

I have owned this car since 1999 and it was 1st registered in 1973 but after contacting the DVLA, I found out it was actually built in 1972, so it is Road Tax exempt.

I acquired the car as a newly sprayed wax oiled rolling body shell 13 years ago and it was subsequently built up from that in the year 2000.

It was off the road for the best part of 2003-2009 as I moved to London, until I put it back on the road about 3 years ago.

it has in the last couple of years had
a new hood, new exhaust, new starter motor, engine rebuild, reconditioned gearbox, refurbished rostyle wheels, new tyres, brakes all-round,new windscreen, new electronic ignition instead of points, new coil, new distributor and a general sort out so mechanically its great.

Extra- Quarter-light window and stainless steel frame in good condition for the drivers side.will be included if not fitted as the one on the car currently has a broken hinge.

battery cut off switch was installed -2000 which has been handy in the winter.

A friend of the family did the work on the car so there are no garage receipts but if you know your midgets and what you are looking at you'll know what's been done and to a high level upon viewing.

The paint has some bubbling on the tops of the rear wing and a few chips here and there, the worst is on the top passenger side front wheel arch, top drivers side wing and a small dent by the indicator on the front drivers side wing,

However it still looks fantastic after a good wash and polish.

I am including a spare (if I don't get time to fit it) quarter-light window and stainless steel frame with this sale, as the drivers side quarter light window frame top metal hinge broke off, currently the quarter-light window on the car doesn't fall out as the locking arm holds it in place.

The bumpers are quite pitted but still look good when clean.

2 speakers in the rear parcel shelf should you wish to install a radio + there is a tonneau cover for the hood, spare wheel and original jack supplied with the car along with the new red V5, the original V5 and the last couple of MOT certificates.

This is a private sale so no warranty or anything to that effect included.
You can contact me on 07557 353713 to arrange a suitable viewing time in South West London.
