MG BGT MKII 1971 (K) Blue
DEPOSIT TAKEN: 28/02/2015
First registered on 9th August 1971 and finished in its original and very rare colour of Aqua Blue with Black leather trim piped in White, Black carpets, 'Webasto' fold-back Sun Roof, 1798cc Engine, 4 Speed gearbox with Overdrive and Chrome Wire Wheels.
This is a very well known car within the MG Car Club circles and it was completely rebuilt with a new 'Heritage' bodyshell in 1997/8 by MG specialists 'MG House' in Blackpool and almost £19,000 was spent on these works. At the time of the restoration, the car had covered 71,000 miles when a new speedometer was fitted and 4 years later in 2002 after 5,650 miles had been covered, the Engine was completely rebuilt.
We sold the car to the current owner in July 2010 and it has now covered 11,000 miles since the restoration (5,350 on the rebuilt engine) and 82,000 miles from new.
It has a comprehensive service history since the restoration including invoices for parts and works carried out, a Valuation Certificate for £12,500 upon completion of the rebuild, MOT certificates from 1989 to date and copies of registration documents from the DVLA of the cars ownership from new.
During the last owners tenure it has been regularly serviced and has had an uprated sports coil, electronic ignition, 12v battery conversion with cut-off switch and a new starter motor.
The car is in exceptional condition throughout and drives beautifully and must be one of the best MGB GT's currently available for sale.
We are just in the process of preparing the car for sale and it will come with our own customer care package including 12 months MOT, HPI/provenance Checks, 55-point pre-delivery inspection and 6 months mechanical breakdown Parts & Labour Warranty which can be upgraded and extended at additional cost if required.
Car on display at our showrooms in Mortlake.
