MG B V8 Roadster 1976 (Private plate) Grey
First registered in Beaconsfield on 1st August 1976, this car started life as a White 'rubber' bumper car and it has only 3 former keepers from new with the previous owner having bought the car in 1989.
In 1996 he had the car converted to V8 power using a fully reconditioned Rover 3.5 litre V8 Engine and 5 Speed Manual Gearbox plus lowered Suspension with adjustable Gas Struts and Parabolic Leaf Springs, MGB GT V8 Brakes, Stainless Steel Exhaust with RV8 Manifolds, V8 Propshaft, mountings and Electronic Ignition.
In 2006/7 the car was professionally restored using new Heritage body panels including a 'fluted' bonnet and it was converted to chrome bumpers. The shell was subjected to a complete bare metal repaint by a Bentley coachbuilder in Gunmetal Grey and there are full photographs of this restoration. It had all new Chrome, a completely new interior including 'heated' Black Leather Seats, black carpet set, new black door trims, handles, seat belts and a new set of 'Mini-Lite' style Alloy Wheels with Bridgestone Tyres.
The actual mileage on the car in 1996 when the V8 Engine was put in was 61,500 and it has only covered 22,000 miles on this Engine and a total of 83,500 from new.
It comes with its original MG Passport to Service book, MOT certificates from 1988 and lots of invoices and photo's of the conversion and body restoration. It also has a private number plate VMO 374 which has been on the car from new!
It is in fantastic condition throughout with almost unmarked body/paint, 'as new' chrome-work and a beautiful interior. It is exceptionally nice car to drive and must be seen to be fully appreciated.
