MG B Roadster MKIII 1972 (K) Red
During the 19 years production of the MGB, 512,112 cars were produced and this was more than the total of all other models of MG produced and is still the largest volume of a single sports car design produced anywhere in the world.
This beautiful 1972 MGB MKIII Roadster was first registered on 9th March 1972 and was completely rebuilt with a new Heritage Body-shell between 1992-4 by its then owner in Bury St Edmunds with almost all new parts being supplied by the MGB Hive. There are copies of all parts invoices + a log of expenditure kept by the owner from 1992 through to 2002 when he sold it to the next owner who continued with the log through to 2009 before it was sold to the current owner in July 2009.
It is finished in the lovely Flame Red with a Black Leather interior, Black carpets, new Black Vinyl Hood and Weather equipment, 1798cc 4 cylinder 5 Bearing crankshaft (18GG) Engine, 4 Speed Gearbox with Overdrive on 3rd/4th Gears, Revotec electric cooling fan, electronic ignition, poly-bushed suspension, stainless steel exhaust system, and Stove Enamelled Wire Wheels.
Since 2009, the owner has spent a further £15,600 on this car which includes paintwork, engine rebuild, new Clutch, new poly-bushed suspension, new shock absorbers, new steering rack, new propshaft, electronic ignition, electric cooling fan, Alternator, Water pump, Overdrive overhaul,
new brake hoses, rear wheel cylinders and brake shoes and routine servicing.
The car is presented in fabulous condition throughout and drives impeccably and represents excellent value for money at this price!
