  • Mercedes-Benz 190 SL 1957 (Private plate) Silver

    Description

Produced by Mercedes-Benz between May 1955 and February 1963 the 190SL was sold alongside the 300SL which it closely resembled.

This 1957 LHD example is finished in Silver metallic with Blue Leather trim, grey carpets, Beige Mohair Soft Top, Blue Hood cover, original White Steering Wheel and chrome fittings, period 'Blaupunkt' Radio, 1,897cc 4 cylinder overhead Cam Engine fed by twin Solex carburettors, 4 speed all-synchromesh Gearbox, Servo-Assisted Brakes and fully independent all round suspension.

The car was restored in 2007 by 'Exotic Performance' based in Marina del Rey, California and is in excellent condition throughout with fabulous paintwork, all new Chrome and mechanically first class. As with all American cars, there is never any early history so we do not know the actual mileage but the speedometer is showing 2,830 miles which is since the restoration. It was purchased by the current English owner in early 2008 and registered in the UK before being taken to his house in the South of France where it has been or the last 4 years. Just shipped back to England and registered here along with a full service and new MOT.

This fabulous car really must be seen to be fully appreciated.
