    We are truly privileged to offer to the market my own beloved Fulvia, which I purchased in the summer of 2017. It’s a highly desirable Lancia Fulvia Coupe 1.3S Rallye Series 2 (818-630). This is a 1972 model with matching numbers motor, being UK registered & tax exempt, it comes complete with copies of the Italian log book, Original Italian number plates, ACI certificate & original accompanying owner’s handbook & maintenance manual!

    My stunning example was first registered CT 504464 in November 1972 in Catania, Sicily where it only had 2 owners, the last being Antonino Scalisi, until it was purchased on 11th July 2012 by the Malta Classic Car Collection. They undertook an external repaint & then used this stunning example as a museum exhibit. (Pictures on file of car in the museum!). The mileage is now showing 80,000 KM believed correct & reflected in the fabric & structure of this stunning example.

    I was looking for a good structurally sound Fulvia to add to my own collection in 2017, when I had a tip off via the Lancia club about this specific example. After viewing & test driving the car, I knew it was what I had been looking for! It felt nice & tight & was structurally sound & unmolested. So I purchased it from the owner whom was a UK based historic racing driver, now retired & residing in Woburn.

    He & his wife visited Malta on holiday in the summer of 2016, where they visited the Maltese Motor museum. They fell in love with the beautiful colour combination of this Fulvia on display & knew they had to own it. Their intention was to bring it back to our shores & prepare it for classic rally tours. Their vision was to use it as the basis for an HF rally car. He had owned an original 1.6 HF many years ago & had used it for classic rallies & had found memories. (Picture in file of previous HF). So a deal was hastily struck & the car was given a Maltese MOT as part of the conditions of sale. The purchase invoice is on file dated August 2016 for £11,500. The car was then trailered to Purfleet in Essex, where the proud new owner collected it.
    On close inspection back at his trusted local garage in Woburn, they found the vehicle to be in excellent structural condition, including the front foot wells, which have all the factory ribs, sub frame & the notorious boot floor. The known Fulvia trouble spots. The panel gaps were also all factory & it even has mostly the factory spot welds in the arches.

    The decision was taken that this car was far too good to make into a HF replica. Trust me there are not that many really honest & straight Fulvias left in Italy, let alone Malta, so this was the correct decision.

    So the owner gave instructions to the garage to service the car & get a UK MOT, so the process of UK registration could take place. This is where the honeymoon ended, as the car had several major MOT failures. The owner also noted that the vehicle had collected several scratches to the exterior paintwork, since he saw it under the spotlights in the Museum to the point of arrival in the UK.

    The decision was taken to get the car through the MOT with no advisories & get it to tip top mechanical condition, so it could be used & enjoyed on classic rally tours, but leave the external appearance as it was. So the task began & the following parts were purchased mostly from Omicron & are all receipted in the ample history file.

    New Koni adjustable shock absorbers, new period sprint classic tyres, new stainless steel exhaust complete including downpipe, new clutch & flywheel, New starter motor (almost impossible to purchase, but the owner called in a favour from an Italian racing friend & one was sent the next week!), crank seals, rotor arm, oil filter, Bosh chrome wiper blades, exhaust valve & inlet valve, electronic ignition – distributor, new fuel pump, complete rebuild of the braking system, including master cylinder, hoses, pads & pipes etc & even a spare wheel cover was made in black leather to finish the package.

    The Omicron invoices total £2,289.96, the tyre invoice for over £196.56, labour invoice for £1,608 & this is just what’s on file. It’s fair to say the owner went through the car on a no expense spared basis.

    The car then got its first UK MOT & the vehicle was ready to be UK registered which followed.

    The owner whom owns other classic cars which he campaigns, never really used the Fulvia as much as planned, he only did a couple of tours, one being the MK Classic Tour in 2017 for which the car has the accompanying decal. Due to the loss of the barn near his property in Woburn, where the Fulvia was housed, the decision was taken to find a new caring owner.
    That’s where I came in to take the Fulvia onto the next chapter of its life. Since my purchase, I have been meticulous in the further preparation prior to offering this exceptional example to the market by undertaking the following works: Embarked on a professional glass out full repaint of the vehicle in its original period correct Lancia dark blue colour (Code 121). This was conducted in our premises to a high professional show standard. As expected we found the vehicle to be in excellent structural condition, including the foot wells which are original & still have the factory ribs showing along with the all-important boot floor.

    Indeed this car has the spot welds in the arches which is really rare although now with new pant over them. The Maltese Museum had painted the car on arrival in 2012, but I didn’t consider this to be of high enough quality, so sanded back most of their paint & applied our favourite PPG paint to factory standards.

    We also painted the boot compartment in the original satin black colour along with the fitting of a new premium fuel tank which cost £750 alone & a new rubber fuel gasket where it connects to the main fuel feeder pipe. I also then filled our lovely new tank with £50 of super unleaded.

    We also fully refinished the original streel wheels to a high professional standard & applied a light lacquer coat, to complete the process. New chrome wheel studs were then ordered from Omicron & promptly fitted to complete the look. They cost £198 believe it or not!

    We also hand cleaned & then chemical cleaned the undercarriage & then applied 2 thin coats of Wurth spray gun applied underseal to protect it going forward for the next 47 years of its life.

    I had the complete interior sent to my preferred trimmer, including all the seats, front kick panel cards, door cards, rear quarter cards & rear parcel shelf card. I decided as it was my own car to go for the premium full leather rather than Vinyl. This alone cost over £2,250.

    We also fully detailed the vehicle including a 3M machine polish of the new glorious paintwork. A fresh MOT followed to complete along with fitting back the Italian front & rear number plate holders. We also fitted a period correct full decal kit.

    The bumpers & brackets were also machine polished & we undertook a detailed interior deep clean along with having the interior head lining fully refurbished by my preferred specialist, which now looks stunning. I then fitted my original OME quality Italian red/black rubber over mat set that I bought at the Auto Epoca show in Padova especially for this car.
    We also fitted a new thermostat, thermostat inlet, alternator & voltage regulator. A new radiator cap, conducted an antifreeze flush & refilled with the correct mix. A full oil & Bosch filter service, full brake fluid change, full gearbox oil change, new air & fuel filters, fitted a new radiator fan switch, new temperature sender, fixed the horn. Fitted a new boot seal & front bonnet air vent seal & new original Italian Carrello wiper blades.
    We fitted a new chrome OME wing mirror. A new premium bosh battery & a lovely premium leather Lancia key ring.
    This stunning example retains the original matching 4 cylinder 1298cc engine with twin solex carbs & is showing a mileage of only circa 80000 KM believed correct by the owner & museum. Having now worked on this vehicle. I would certainly concur.

    The vehicle comes with a lovely history file & contains: UK V5C, DVLA V948, DVLA correspondence, Lancia Motor Club UK dating letter, Copy of Italian log book, Copy of Certificato Di Proprieta, ACI PRA Certificato Catania, Copy of ACI Del Pubblico Regisrto Automobilistico Di Catania, Copy of Italian deregistration certificvate & 14.62 Euro stamp, Delivery document to UK, Purchase invoice from Malta Classic Car Collection, Copious Omicron & other parts invoices, Lancia owners handbook & Instruction manual, workshop manual, Lancia CD, current UK MOT, Photos showing car in Museum, in transit to UK & in Woburn. Then copious images of the car having the full professional repaint at our premises.

    Period Lancia dark blue paintwork (code 121), with a new premium full tan leather interior, including all door cards & rear panel cards, complemented by the original specification headlining, now fully restored & full original mat set, with new period Italian rec /black rubber over mats.

    MOT with NO advisories. (No MOT required in the UK from 20th May 2018 onwards.)

    Lancia key ring, original refurbished spare wheel with the original factory Lancia blue jack, original Lancia full factory tool kit housed in original black pouch, wheel wrench & factory boot strap still fitted. It even has the period correct bulb holder kit & warning triangle.

    It certainly is an honest, genuine cherished example & now looks resplendent, its even wearing the Lancia club decals. It has good panel fit, structure & undercarriage. This one is not to be missed & as my own car has had the money & time spent that it deserves, on a no expense spared basis. The attention to detail is second to none. It’s obviously not the cheapest on the market, but in my opinion it is the best value.

    This stunning example is ready to show or just use on a daily basis. The car is on the button & ready to go & show or just enjoy.

    You could actually use this example for everyday use, transportation to the Revival, or as a contender at classic car shows & be proud of it in any circumstance.
