Ford Mustang 1964 (C) White
The Ford Mustang was launched on 17th April 1964 at the New York World Fair with an asking price for the base model of only $2,368. Original sales forecasts projected less than 100,000 units for the first year, but this was surpassed in the first three months of production with a further 318,000 sold during the model year and in its first eighteen months, more than one million Mustangs were built.
This is a 65 Model Year Ford Mustang 289 Coupe which was built in Ford's San Jose factory in California on 18th December 1964 - Chassis No: 5R07C166504.
The car is in very good condition throughout and is finished in Pace White with Blue Vinyl trim, Blue carpets, its original 289 4.7 litre V8 Engine, 3 Speed Automatic Transmission, Drum Brakes, Power Steering and Alloy Wheels.
It was imported to the UK in April 2004 and has been used as a wedding car by the last owner. The car is completely ‘rust-free’ and very original in many respects and we believe it was repainted in the USA before coming to the UK. Unfortunately nothing is known of its history in California and the mileage shown on the speedometer is 4,969 which we assume is 104,969, but we can't confirm this as its original mileage from new.
It is in overall very good condition and is a very nice to drive.
Prices are just starting to increase, so it should become a good investment!
Upon sale it will be given a new MOT and Service and will come with a 6 Month Mechanical Warranty that can be extended if required at additional cost.
